I am writing to congratulate Sangamo on the quality of their time-switch products, and the excellent service you have provided in the past few days.
I have two time-switches, an S255 installed in 1972 that continues to work perfectly. The other a S263 was installed in 1982 and was working perfectly until a couple of weeks ago when the trigger operating the on/off levers fractured. The robustness of both switches operating a complicated central heating system in daily use during the whole of this time is testament to the robustness and quality of your products.
I should like to place on record the very helpful advise and superb service provided by Mr Jim Dewar during the past few days. I have had some experience in recent months with manufacturers and suppliers of other electrical products, and that has rarely been a happy one, certainly the service nothing to match that I have enjoyed with Sangamo. The prompt response to my inquiry, with details arriving by post the next day, was an unusual and welcome surprise in this day and age. But I was astonished at the delivery within 24 hours of the ordered replacement RPTS. Of course, the new assembly fits exactly into the base of the old S263, as Mr Dewar assured me, thus obviating the need for re-wiring. A very satisfactory outcome, and well-satisfied customer. Imagine my surprise when told that I was the July Prize Draw Winner.
