Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
The broad aim of the WEEE ( Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006) is to address the environmental impacts of electrical electronic when it reaches the end of its life and to encourage its separate collection, subsequent treatment, re-use, recovery, recycling and environmentally sound disposal.
To this end Sangamo has joined a Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) run by Budget Pack to discharge our obligations as a producer of EEE, for example, registering as a producer, reporting data on EEE put on the market and financing any costs of collection, treatment, recovery and disposal of WEEE in line with our notified obligation. All products are now suitably identified.
