What is the difference between 3 & 4 pin round pattern timeswitches? |
3 pin switches have common motor connections and 4 pin switches have independent motor connections. Independent motor connections enable a different switching circuit voltage from the voltage powering the timeswitch, to be controlled. |

The Q550 timeswitch utilizes a battery and the timing is dependant on the battery voltage. Therefore after approx 8-10 years in operation the timing varies as the battery voltages decreases. Replacing the battery would resolve the problem. For spare batteries please contact either of the following spares agents:-

The bases are common to all the series. Depending on their configuration, all switches use the same style of 3 & 4 pin base. However to comply with current safety standards a complete switch and base must be fitted. |
Yes, where separate supplies are not available for the motor and switch circuit of 4 pins models an external link can be added between live terminals 1 & 3. However please note that the installation of the switch must be carried out by a qualified electrician. |
